Hello dear, hope you're well. Yes, 4;20 was and is still alive and well. We were at the Smoke In, in D.C. back in the early 70's and sitting at the Washington Monument listening to the Rolling Stones. Even with Park Police and all, we all lit up at 4:20.

Hey, I never thought about that... it being 4/20 and all. Huh. Personally I didn't learn about that term til I was maybe 30 or 31. Of course I was in a bar at the time and didn't believe that people actually came up with a term for it. It would be like calling going out to a bar and drinking 670. Hey, wanna start a trend? ;)

good lord, I am beginning to recognise a pattern here - clearly I had a very misspent youth!

Not only had I heard of '420' I had several hemp t-shirts proudly emblazoned with the label AND once I deliberately stayed in a dodgy little flat while I waited for flat 420 to become available.

These days I couldn't be further from the scene if I tried but it's fun to remember, thanks!
