Bedding the bed

I think the sofa has been dumped in favour of the bed.

Last night was the third night in a row that I’ve slept in my bed. Well, it’s more like 2 ¼ nights as I only moved to the bed at about 4 am on the first night to escape my laptop that was humming loudly at me from the table next to the sofa. But, on every occasion, I’ve been perfectly sober, gone to bed knowingly alone and woken up knowingly alone.

I’d forgotten how much more comfortable it is than that sofa.

I wonder if it will be any more comfortable should I wash the bedding?

Any other changes? Have you given up storing your cheese in the rubbish bin, or was that the bread... ? ;-)

If the bedding sticks to you when you try to get up, it's probably time to visit the laundromat.

caroline: it was bread and, yes, I've given up that habit. Things are looking up, yes?

kyknoord: they don't stick to me but I'm sure they used to be white and not grey. Maybe I'm mistaken.

I thnk you may need to set up a playdate for the sheets over at Mr and Mrs Water-&-Detergent's house.

Nomad, I hope you rested peacefully. Do as I do, and buy lots of pillows and place them around you. It gives a more cozy feeling. I've not slept with anyone in my bed for more than five years(mostly because of my prison stay) except, when my son came to visit and he slept in my room with me after not being able to sleep on the air mattress after it disinigrated under him. I don't think those things are made for men who weigh 260 lbs. Carry on ol' chap and have a charmed day!!

Ohh yes, wash immediately, and enjoy the luxurious feel (this is your BEST bed linen, right?).

We have one oversized duvet cover which is a joy when it's freshly washed... nothing quite like it... honest. Try it. You'll be glad you did. So soft.. sooo sooofffftt...

For all of you who know think that I sleep in sticky grey bed clothes, let me disabuse you of the fact: I do NOT!!

However, those white sheets aren't as white as they once were - perhaps I don't use the right detergent?

It would make sense buying some more bedding as then I could have bedding on the bed while the current bedding is drying and not have to sleep between the matress sheet and an uncovered duvet.

sounds like it could be mineral deposits from the water that's causing the grey. not sure what you can do for it, but welcome to bed and do get yourself a second set of sheets (250 threadcount or higher!).

If the sheets crunch when you move them, yes... it will be more comfortable after washing them... ;) Glad to hear you made the transition back there.
